Richards To Release ‘Triangle Of Blood’ Book
Bob Richards will be releasing his second book in the Triangle of Treason trilogy, “Triangle of Blood,” with a launch on July 11 at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI].
A spokesperson said, “The second book in the Triangle of Treason Bermuda historical fiction trilogy, Triangle of Blood, is being released on the 11th of July with a book launch at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI].
“The historical thriller spans California, to London, to Moscow and lifts the veil on the island’s role in NATO’s anti-submarine strategy. Local readers will delight to discover more about Bermuda during these turbulent times as the most important and secret early warning post for the United States.
“Triangle of Blood’s launch will take place on Thursday, 11th of July, from 6:30pm at BUEI. Attendees will enjoy a 30 minute talk from the author about the history behind the story, with a Q&A session. There will be a cash bar from Harbourfront offering on theme cocktails, such as the Bloody Mary and Black Russians. The Bermuda Bookstore will be on hand to sell the first copies of Richards’ book and there will be an opportunity to have books signed.
“Richards’ fiction debut, Triangle of Treason, about Bermudians during the Second World War, was released in 2021 to positive reviews and is available to buy now from local bookstores and online. Richards has also previously published a non-fiction book on Bermuda’s economics, Bermuda Back From the Brink.”
Bob Richards said, “I am very pleased to be launching Triangle of Blood, second in the Triangle of Treason trilogy, next week at BUEI. I was inspired to write these novels to showcase Bermuda’s incredibly rich but relatively unknown history – as well as to entertain!
“I hope that Bermudians pick up a copy of this latest novel, which explores the island’s involvement in the Cold War, during the ’50s and ’60s. They’ll discover a thrilling story about the development of a technology called SOFAR, used to passively detect and track submerged Russian submarines, and get swept up in a tale about a local family during those turbulent times.”
