Chubb Foundation Awards Scholarships & Grants
The Chubb Charitable Foundation-Bermuda presented Ramiah Brangman with the Robert Clements Scholarship and gave education awards to Najee Pitt-Clarke, Tylasha DeSilva, and Keiran Smith.
A spokesperson said, “We are delighted to announce that one student, Ramiah Brangman, has been honored with the prestigious Robert Clements Scholarship, while three others received education awards. These awards will provide invaluable financial aid to support their studies and careers in insurance and related disciplines.”
Students recognized include:
2024 Chubb Charitable Foundation-Bermuda Robert Clements Scholar:
- Ramiah Brangman: Ramiah is a 2024 graduate of Saltus Grammar School and will be attending the University of Liverpool, pursuing a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics. Throughout her time at Saltus, Ramiah consistently displayed academic excellence, earning a spot on the Head of School’s Honor Roll every year. Ramiah is also a talented athlete, representing the Bermuda National Football Team.
Najee Pitt-Clarke [Bermuda College Education Award Recipient], Tylasha DeSilva [Bermuda College Education Award Recipient], Keiran Smith, Chubb Charitable Foundation – Bermuda – [Education Bursary Recipient], and Ramiah Brangman [Robert Clements Scholarship Recipient].
“Ramiah’s commitment to excellence in both her studies and athletic endeavors, have truly distinguished her as a deserving recipient of the Robert Clements Scholarship,” said Lori Dunstan, Chair, Chubb Charitable Foundation – Bermuda. “We are excited to provide her with the opportunity to advance her career and follow her passion for mathematics.”
2024 Chubb Bermuda College Education Award Winners:
- Najee Pitt-Clarke: Najee is a 2024 graduate of Bermuda College and will be attending the University of Reading, pursuing a BSc in Food Business & Marketing. Najee is passionate about promoting culinary tourism and sustainable practices within the hospitality sector in Bermuda.
- Tylasha DeSilva: Tylasha is a 2024 graduate of Bermuda College and will be studying for a BA [Hons] in Social Work at Manchester Metropolitan University. Tylasha is a remarkable young leader, having served as Head Girl at Berkeley Institute and as Student Government President at Bermuda College.
Keiran Smith: Keiran was awarded a Bursary Award through the Chubb Charitable Foundation–Bermuda. Keiran is a 2024 graduate of Mount Saint Agnes Academy [MSA] and will be pursuing a BSc in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Western University in Canada. Keiran’s academic prowess and commitment to excellence were evident throughout his time at MSA, where he was named Valedictorian and inducted into the National Honors Society.
