“Closest To The Pin” Charity Golf Event Held
This past weekend, Governor Rena Lalgie welcomed family, friends, and golf enthusiasts to the second “Closest to the Pin” charity event, with proceeds from the event set to benefit the Brian Morris Educational Charity, which was established in honor of the late professional golfer.
Government House posted the photos online below, and said, “This past weekend, Her Excellency the Governor, Ms. Rena Lalgie, welcomed family, friends, and golf enthusiasts to the second ‘Closest to the Pin’ charity event. The Governor kicked off the event by taking the first swing to honor the life and legacy of the late Brian Morris.
“Members of the Ocean View Golf community transformed the North lawn at Government House into a challenging driving range. Each participant received four chances to get their ball ‘Closest to the Pin.’
“Congratulations to all the winners, and special thanks to Laurie Morris, Cheryl-Lynne Thompson, and OJ Pitcher for ensuring that Brian’s vision continues. The proceeds from this event will go to ‘The Brian Morris Educational Charity.’”
