Inspire Bermuda To Host Summer Picnic Event
Inspire Bermuda, a Bermuda Registered Charity dedicated to promoting disability awareness and advocacy, will host a Summer Picnic on Saturday.
A spokesperson said, “The event, which will take place tomorrow, Saturday, July 13th, at Shelly Bay Beach [Upper Park] from 10am to 5pm, will serve as a gathering for individuals connected to the disabled population to come together, share experiences, and enjoy some much-needed downtime.”
Director of Inspire Bermuda, Sacha Richardson, emphasizes the importance of increasing disability awareness and advocating for the needs of the disabled community. “We are in a time where disability awareness, services and the like have increased, however there is still so much more to do for this population; from legislation and employment to accessibility and proper use of parking spaces. Inspire Bermuda is in the process of restructuring to ensure we are adequately meeting the needs of the disabled population while educating the community.”
The spokesperson said, “The Summer Picnic will provide a space for individuals to relax, meet others, and share experiences. Additionally, Richardson hints at some very exciting and innovative upcoming events that will be announced during the picnic.
“Inspire Bermuda encourages the community to come out and support their efforts in promoting disability awareness and inclusivity.
