Bermuda Defeat Bahamas In Tennis Event
Bermuda finished 7th at the Billie Jean King Cup Americas Group Three Division in Trinidad & Tobago, after defeating the Bahamas in their final match.
Shelby Madeiros got Bermuda off to a strong start, dominating Tatyana Maduabuchukwu 6-2, 6-0 in the first singles match. However, the Bahamas leveled the tie when Danielle Andrea Thompson defeated Nadhira Durham 6-0, 6-0.
The deciding doubles match saw Madeiros return to the court, partnering with Zoe Fisher. The Bermudian duo clinched the win and 7th place overall with a 6-3, 7-6 victory over Maduabuchukwu and Thompson.
