Bermudiana Road To Close For Paving Works

Paving works are due to begin on Bermudiana Road on September 3rd and are expected to last for approximately two weeks and during this time Bermudiana Road will be closed off to the motoring public, the City announced today.

A spokesperson said, “The City of Hamilton is advising the public that paving works are due to begin on Bermudiana Road on Tuesday, September 3rd and are expected to last for approximately two weeks. During this time Bermudiana Road will be closed off to the motoring public. This includes the public transportation services as well.

“Work will begin at the northern end of Bermudiana Road at the junction with Church Street and will proceed south to Front Street.

“Please note that there will be no parking of any vehicles [bikes or cars] along Bermudiana Road at any time while works are ongoing. Access to Gorham Road will be from the Woodbourne entrance only. Assistance will be provided where possible to allow for business operators at the Southern end of Bermudiana to access and egress onto Front Street, if necessary. Area businesses are urged to please utilize the Par La Ville Road entrances and parking when available as much as possible.
