Ministry Issues Two Road Traffic Notices
The Ministry of Public Works has issued two road traffic notices for Middle Road in Smith’s and Southampton Parishes.
A Government spokesperson said, “Due to essential roadworks, the Ministry of Public Works wishes to advise the motoring public of upcoming lane closures on Middle Road in both Smith’s and Southampton Parishes.
“These measures are necessary to ensure Bermuda’s road network’s continued safety and efficiency.
Middle Road, Flatts in Smith’s Parish – Paving Works
“From Wednesday, 28 August 2024, through Friday, 27 September 2024, sequential lane closures will be in effect on Middle Road, Flatts, from Store Hill to Flatts Hill in Smith’s Parish.
“These closures are required to facilitate milling and paving works, which will be carried out between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.
Middle Road near Industrial Park Road, Southampton Parish – Trench Works for Drainage Improvements
“A lane closure will occur on Middle Road near Industrial Park Road in Southampton Parish to allow for a trench crossing as part of drainage improvement works.
“Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to begin on Monday, 26 August 2024, or Tuesday, 27 August 2024. Working hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.”
