CariGenetics has sponsored GenTech Analytica’s BioSci Series in Saint Lucia, an educational program from July 22 to August 2, 2024, aimed at inspiring high school students with hands-on learning in genetics and bioinformatics.
A spokesperson said, “CariGenetics is proud to announce its recent sponsorship of GenTech Analytica’s BioSci Series, a two-week educational program designed to ignite a passion for genetics and bioinformatics among young minds in Saint Lucia. Held from 22 July to 2 August 2024, this initiative aimed to inspire the next generation of scientists who will shape the future of healthcare and biotechnology in the Caribbean.
“The BioSci Series brought together students from various secondary schools in Saint Lucia, offering them a unique opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of genetics. The program covered a broad range of topics, including the intricacies of DNA, cytogenetics, and Mendelian inheritance. Participants engaged in hands-on activities such as building DNA models, analysing karyotypes, and conducting virtual labs, providing a comprehensive and immersive learning experience.”
