Adriana Penruddocke Continues To Impress
Bermuda sailor Adriana Penruddocke continued her encouraging campaign in the women’s dinghy at the Olympic Games in Paris today [August 3].
Penruddocke, who competes in the ILCA 6 one-design class at the Marseille Marina – a portal city about 660 kilometres south of Paris – finished 35th in race four before coming a superb fifteenth in race five.
In the final race of the day – and sixth of the series – the 24-year-old placed 23rd.
She is 27th overall in a fleet of 43 sailors. Racing continues tomorrow.
“I’m really enjoying the experience,” Penruddocke told Bernews. “I’m super happy to be here and I’m taking it all in.”
