Djair Parfitt Signs With Team In Northern Ireland
Bermudian footballer Djair Parfitt has signed with the Glentoran Football Club in Northern Ireland.
The announcement from the club said, “Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Djair Parfitt and on behalf of the Glentoran Family we warmly welcome Djair to the Bet McLean Oval. Djair [27] is a Bermudian wide forward who started his career with the Academy at West Ham United. He spent 6 years at Hammers and has subsequently played for clubs in Slovenia, Iceland, Finland and most recently Greece. He has 11 senior caps for the Bermuda senior international team and has scored twice for his country.”
Declan Devine said to www.glentoran.com: “I’ve made it clear recently that there were a couple of positions we needed to strengthen if we could get the right calibre of player. Djair fits the bill on both counts. He’s a right footed left winger who cuts in from the left. He is very capable of both creating and taking scoring chances and he will give the forward line a greater balance. He’s the sort of lad who will fit in well with the rest of the squad and I think he’ll prove popular with our supporters.”
