Lane Closure On North Shore Road For Repairs
The Ministry of Public Works advised the motoring public of a “lane closure on North Shore Road, from Barkers Hill to Jennings Road, to facilitate necessary fencing repair works.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The closure will affect the eastbound lane and will be in effect from Tuesday, 24 September 2024, until Thursday, 24 October 2024, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
“Motorists are advised to exercise caution while travelling through this area and are encouraged to consider alternative routes during work hours.
“Traffic management measures will be in place, with the Ministry’s representatives using cones to guide vehicles through the affected area.
“The Ministry appreciates the public’s cooperation during this period and apologises for any inconvenience caused as we work to improve the infrastructure.”

Presumably this will be in sections and not the entire distance closed all at once? Has the middle road resurfacing between Store Hill and Flatts been put on hold? If not there will be serious disruption. Can the Minister provide clear notices or does the public have to guess?
“Has the middle road resurfacing between Store Hill and Flatts been put on hold?”
I doubt it. I would not want to be undertaking “necessary fencing repair works” whilst the road behind me was being resurfaced.
I hope it is on hold otherwise the 2 roads will be one lane each and chaotic. Did one strip by Windy Bank Farm and left all the machinery behind. Probably run out of asphalt.
And what were you expecting from the Ministry of Public Works?
Might as well shut all the roads down at once, we can all swim to work mercy!
Swim to work? Why swim when we live in the land of the Bermuda fitted dinghy?
And remember , it’s always ‘up Somerset’ and ‘down St Georges’ !
Why swim when we can drown like the oba.
So, how does one that lives off of this section of Northshore get to an alternative street?
