Rodrigues Jr & Viera Help Eckerd Finish Second
Paul Rodrigues Jr. and Jordan Viera led the Eckerd College sailing team to a second-place finish at the South Atlantic Conference of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA) South top 6 invite regatta.
Rodrigues, skippering the B class boat with crew Avery Guck, secured second place with 46 points, including two race wins. Viera, at the helm of the A class boat with Eloise Weiss, finished eighth with 70 points, achieving two top-five finishes.
Eckerd’s combined performance resulted in a total of 116 points, earning them the second overall spot in the regatta.
