iRockBDA To Host Youth Sports Intensive
iRockBDA will host a youth sports intensive this weekend, October 25-27th, which they said will “offer an inclusive and dynamic training experience for youth in athletics featuring Coach Sabrina Parr.”
A spokesperson said, “Our not-to-be-missed developmental athletics workshop encourages athletes to perform at their best. The sports intensive is open to all levels [no formal training/experience required]; only a passion for taking athletic abilities to the next level!
“Coach Parr is a 6 time All-American Athlete, 2-Time State Champion and reigning city & district hurdle record. Her notable credits extend beyond the track as a former ESPN Radio personality, motivational coach, accomplished author and personal trainer. Coach Parr is enthusiastic about training young athletes and has been recognized and celebrated in Ebony magazine, on Oprah Winfrey’s network and on The Real TV show, among others.
“Day 1 and Day 2 are geared for young athletes ages 6-18. Along with track and field, this intensive will benefit athletes in many disciplines, such as: football, basketball, tennis, cricket and jump rope, to name a few. Each day has been specifically curated to cover several key elements in sport, such as footwork, speed & agility, acceleration, nutrition, mental toughness, etc. Working around these elements will boost many developmental areas within the athlete, including improved performance, enhanced coordination, injury prevention, increased confidence and overall foundation for future development. This youth sports clinic promises to be a fun and engaging environment.
“Day 3 – The ‘Finish Line’ brunch will include a motivational speech and Q&A session with Coach Parr. Along with special insight on college-level athletics, athletics interview prepping and more. This session will be beneficial to young athletes heading to college/university, parents of athletes, team coaches, physical education professionals or anyone with a keen interest in pursuing sports.
“Participants can select one day, two days or purchase a 3-day pass. Sibling rates and coach/athletics staff rates are available.
