Jet Ski & Boat Towed After Breaking Down
The Coast Guard assisted after someone was “stranded on an island off Coopers Island” after a jet ski broke down and then when a boat with two people went to recover the jet ski, the boat also broke down, and the jet ski and boat were towed ashore the following day.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre [BMOC] spokesperson said, “Bermuda Radio received a telephone call from a concerned person ashore advising that a family member had broken down on a jet ski and was stranded on an island off Coopers Island. Speaking to the jet ski operator directly revealed the jet ski had beached on Nonsuch Island with two people on board.
“The Coast Guard were able to assist and dropped the two people from the ski at the Airport dock, the jet ski remained beached. A boat with two people onboard went to recover the jet ski, unfortunately the boat also broke down and ended up disabled and at anchor off Non-Such Island, friends assisted, and the jet ski and boat were towed ashore the following day.”
