Four Shortlisted For Citywealth Awards
Four professionals from Bermuda have been shortlisted for the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards USA 2025, recognizing female leadership in wealth management.
A spokesperson said, “The Citywealth Powerwomen Awards USA 2025 shortlist has now been announced and four prominent professionals from Bermuda have been nominated for awards.
- Laura Kearns, senior associate at international law firm Carey Olsen Bermuda – nominated for Woman of the Year award
- Robin Peters, head of wealth management at financial institution Schroders [Bermuda] Ltd – nominated for Woman of the Year
- Melissa Pope, vice president, Trust Services, Butterfield Trust [Bermuda] Ltd – nominated for Champion of the Year
- Michelle Wolfe, chairwoman and family counsel at Meritus Trust Company Ltd – nominated for Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year
Celebrating women’s achievements
“The awards – highlighting individuals and companies that promote female leadership and support career progression of women within the wealth management sector – were originally created ten years ago in London by Karen Jones, multi-award winning CEO and founder of Citywealth. They were recently extended to the USA so as to include women in North America and the Caribbean and to highlight their outstanding achievements.
“Karen Jones’s initiative has been recognised with a Gold Stevie award for Women in Business 2024, in the Achievement in International Expansion category.
Close links with Bermuda
“With close links to Bermuda going back many years, Citywealth is also excited to welcome Kendaree Burgess, COO of Bermuda Business Development Agency, on the Citywealth Forum panel as International Financial Centre economy speaker representing the overseas territory. The Forum, that will take place 13th May 2025 in London, discusses important topics of the day relevant to wealth management.
