The Ministry of Public Works is advising the public of two upcoming road closures – one to accommodate work by BELCO and another to accommodate the Christmas on the Curve event.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public of two upcoming road closures that will affect traffic in Warwick Parish and Pembroke Parish.

“From Saturday, 23 November 2024 through Friday, 17 January 2025, there will be a lane closure on Middle Road between Longford Road and Camp Hill in Warwick Parish.

“This closure is necessary to accommodate BELCO’s cable pulling through pullholes works.

“Working hours will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily. Traffic control will be managed by BELCO representatives using barricades, stop-and-go signs, and cones.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes via Harbour Road or South Road.

“On Sunday, 8 December 2024, Curving Avenue from Middle Town Drive to the Technic Shop building on Middle Town Road will be closed between 12:00pm and 7:00pm for the Christmas on the Curve event.

“Motorists are encouraged to avoid this section of Curving Avenue and use alternative routes via Happy Valley Road or Parson’s Road. Traffic control will be under the direction of the Church of God of Prophecy representatives.

“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”
