Salvation Army Thanks Community For Support
The Salvation Army extended their thanks to the community for the recent donations, and said they ”encourage everyone who can continue supporting our efforts to do so.”
A spokesperson said, “In response to the urgent call for assistance issued last week, The Salvation Army is deeply grateful to individuals, and organizations throughout the community who stepped up to meet the need for donations. The North Street Family Services location was able to remain open through the last week of October, allowing The Salvation Army to continue providing vital support to vulnerable populations in need of food assistance.
“The generosity shown by citizens, businesses, and media outlets has been nothing short of extraordinary,” says Captain Dennis Maybury, public relations officer. “This support has had an immediate and lasting impact, enabling our North Street location to continue our mission of serving those in need.”
The Salvation Army has received numerous essential contributions including food donations and financial support. “We cannot thank our community enough for coming together in such a meaningful way,” says Maybury. “This outpouring of support not only highlights the strength of our community but also reinforces the spirit of unity and compassion that defines us.”
As The Salvation Army moves forward into the Christmas season, they know that the need will continue. “We encourage everyone who can continue supporting our efforts to do so. It is only together that we can give hope today.”
A spokesperson added, “For those who wish to donate please visit salvationarmy.bm/donate or direct deposit with The Salvation Army, HSBC Account Number: 010-202539-001.
“When you support The Salvation Army, you are giving hope to thousands of people across Bermuda and ensuring that no one is alone in their struggles. Each donation helps provide meals, shelter, and essential services to those in need.”
