BASA Winter Age Group Championships
The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association’s winter age group championships concluded with a splash at the National Sports Center, where Harbour Amateur Swim Club swimmers made waves, claiming the majority of the divisional titles.
In the 10 & under division, Harbour ASC swept the top two spots in both the girls’ and boys’ categories. Eva Desjardins emerged as the girls’ champion with an impressive 1,553 points, followed by teammate Sloane Wright with 1,061 points. Owen Fosker claimed the boys’ title with 891 points, while Joseph Twilley secured second place with 531 points.
Harbour ASC continued their dominance in the 11-12 girls’ division, securing a clean sweep of the podium. Evelyn Fahy took home the title with 1,642 points, narrowly edging out teammate Tabitha Ball, who finished with 1,640 points. Iris Duda completed the Harbour ASC trifecta, finishing third with 1,606 points. In the boys’ division, Sharks Swim Club’s Jacob Leclerc claimed the title with 1,394 points, followed by teammate Ethan Smith with 1,296 points.
The 13-14 division saw another dominant performance from Harbour ASC, with Scarlett Spurling winning the girls’ title with 2,825 points, followed by teammates Isla Cooze with 2,535 points and Freya Lau had 2,359 points. Dominic Wright continued the Harbour ASC winning streak in the boys’ division, claiming the title with 2,692 points. Gabriel Maranzana and Rory Shepherd secured second and third place, respectively, for Harbour ASC.
In the 15 & over division, Sharks Swim Club’s Jorgia White broke Harbour ASC’s winning streak, claiming the girls’ title with 3,406 points. Logan Jones, also from Sharks Swim Club, won the boys’ title with 3,303 points.
