Donald Treanor Finishes Runner-Up In Iowa
Local fencer Donald Treanor finished runner-up in the Hollyday Open at the Iowa City Fencing Centre.
Treanor, who represents Bermuda, finished second in the épée – the heaviest and largest of the three fencing weapons.
He used the competition as a warm-up for the Veteran Age Group North America Cup in Kansas City next month.
“I had a few things I wanted to work on in a tournament setting to make sure I was ready for January,” Treanor told Bernews.
