Howes & Western Finish 2nd At OUA Stratten

Isabella Howes competed in six events for the Western University women’s swimming team, helping her team to a second-place finish at the OUA Stratten divisional championships at the Athletic Centre Pool.

Western amassed 882 points, second only to the University of Toronto.

Howes swam the second leg for Western’s ‘B’ team in the 200-meter freestyle relay, helping them to an eighth-place finish in 1 minute, 49.76 seconds. She finished 11th in the 200 freestyle in 2:10.47.

Howes finished 23rd in the 50 freestyle in 27.95 seconds and 12th in the 100 freestyle in 59.10. She also finished 16th in the 50 butterfly in 30.10. She wrapped up her meet by swimming the second leg for Western’s ‘B’ team in the 400 freestyle relay, helping them to a sixth-place finish in 3:58.13.
