St. George’s To Host NYE Celebration
The Town of St. George is inviting the community to the “NYE 2025 Celebration, a free, unforgettable New Year’s Eve party on December 31st at the historic King’s Square.”
A spokesperson said, “As the home of the nation’s official countdown and Onion Drop, our town is proud to host a night filled with music, dancing, and celebration as we welcome 2025 together.”
Mayor Quinell Francis said, “The New Year’s Eve celebration in the Town of St. George is more than just an event; it’s a party that brings our entire community together. As we count down to midnight and celebrate with the Onion Drop, we’re reminded of the joy and unity that makes Bermuda so special. This year, we’re inviting everyone from across the island to join us in making memories and kicking off 2025 with excitement and cheer in Bermuda’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site-the Historic Town of St. George.”
A spokesperson added, “Starting at 8:00 PM, King’s Square will come alive with festive energy, offering something for everyone:
- “Enjoy the best in delicious food and beverages from Bermuda’s best food, beverage, and memorabilia vendors, and have a blast in the Kids Fun Zone.
- “Dance the evening away with live music by the WallStreet Band from 8:30 PM, featuring today’s biggest hits and timeless classics with Bermuda’s best big band.
- “Bring your voice and make yourself star with karaoke with DJ Nadanja starting at 11:00 PM—a chance to shine on stage!
- “At 11:55 PM, gather around Towne Hall for the nation’s official countdown and the iconic Onion Drop, celebrating our unique Bermudian culture.
“MC Jah Simmons won’t let the celebration end at midnight! The party continues with DJ Nadanja spinning tracks until 1:30 AM, keeping the vibes alive and the Square packed.
“This event is completely free, with no entry fees and free parking available.
“The Town of St. George’s New Year’s Eve Celebration is sponsored by UNESCO Grants, a testament to our history of funding events that strengthen the community and build on its legacy. Let’s welcome 2025 with joy, togetherness, and an unforgettable night of celebration!
