BGA To Host 2025 Four-Ball Championships
The Bermuda Golf Association will be hosting its first major of the 2025 season, which is their 75th Anniversary year, with the Bermuda Four-Ball Championships being held at the Port Royal Golf Course on Saturday, February 1st and Sunday, February 2nd.
A spokesperson said, “There are 40 teams registered across the three divisions: Men’s Championship, Senior Men’s Championship and Ladies Championship. There are 23 teams in the Men’s Championship Division with defending champions Jarryd Dillas and Damian Palanyandi looking to keep their winning streak going as they have been crowned champions for the last four years. They will be up against some stiff competition from the likes of: Jevon Roberts & Oliver Betschart, Jamie Macmillan & Jordan Swan, Rod Forrest & Kirk Viehl, James Godwin & Chris Ford, Roger Brangman & Jonathan James, Andrew Yates & Richard Neame and the junior duo of Arman Newton & Johnny Bart.
“There are 8 teams in the Senior Men’s Championship. The title will be up for grabs as the defending champions have not entered in this year’s tournament. Strong contenders will come from the likes of Mark Ray & Michael Wells, Sheldon Chychrun & Arthur Jones, Daren Dowling & Bentley Gibbons and John Whiley & Wayne Balcombe. In the Ladies Championship Division, there are 9 teams vying for the title as the pair of Tracy Burgess & Ann Symonds are back to defend their title. Challenging the defending champions will be the veteran Kim Botelho who is paired with promising junior Darina Betschart, Linda Down & Katrin Burnie, Stephanie Lewis-Pullen & Juliette Ferrari-McComb, Tracy Nash & Carin Brule, Morgan Lightbourne & Cindy Ratzlaff and Elizabeth Carpio & Lesley Balcombe.
