Andre Lambe Aiming For Knockout Victory
Boxer Andre Lambe said he is aiming to knockout Mexico’s Francisco Martinez when the pair meet at The Shed in Dockyard on February 15.
Lambe, who has a perfect record of 11 wins as a professional, has fully recovered from a broken right hand sustained during his previous bout — a unanimous decision victory over American Kenny Paklos at the same venue in May.
The 28-year-old will face Martinez [12-9-0] in a six-round welterweight contest.
“Had to end the year with some work,” Lambe wrote on social media yesterday [December 31].
“Feb 15, we coming for 12-0! Going for that knockout for sure.”
Most recently, Martinez faced Canadian Justin Gandoza [16-0] in September, where he suffered a second-round technical knockout defeat in a ten-round super-welterweight bout in Veracruz, Mexico.
To prepare for the clash, Lambe will train at the Fresh & Hungry Boxing Club in Warwick.
