Greater Impact Through Collective Effort

The spokesperson said, “At the core of this collaboration is earlyyearsnurturingbda.org offerings designed to support families, educators, and policymakers.

“Earlyyearsnurturingbda.org provides free:

  • 1. Research-Based Insights: Guides and information on the importance of early childhood development, ensuring families and providers have the knowledge to make informed decisions to support their children.
  • 2. The Red Flags Bermuda Guide: An updated evidence-based tool, originally adapted for Bermuda by the Bermuda Foundation with permission from the Regional Municipality of York, Ontario, Canada to help parents and caregivers track their child’s developmental milestones and identify areas where early intervention may be needed.
  • 3. Access to Local Resources: A comprehensive list of community services and organizations available to support children and their families.

“The Early Years Nurturing Bermuda partnership with local childcare advocates aims to leverage collective networks to utilize each member’s reach to amplify messages about child development and the importance sector; promoting evidence-based resources such as the Red Flags Bermuda Guide and other resources provided by EYNB; and encouraging families, educators, and policymakers to take an active role in supporting Bermuda’s youngest learners.”

Penny Saltus, Executive Director of the Early Childhood Foundation commented “The Early Years Nurturing Bermuda website has created a foundation of evidence-based tools and resources that are invaluable for childcare providers. Now more than ever, it is important to be talking about these issues and ensuring that every child has the best start in life.”
