FDM Responds To Election Announcement

January 8, 2025 | 1 Comment

The FDM “welcomes the announcement of the general election” and “look forward to a spirited campaign as we continue to put forth our vision for Bermuda,” Free Democratic Movement [FDM] Leader Marc Bean said.

Mr Bean said, “The Free Democratic Movement [FDM] welcomes the announcement of the general election and the formal dropping of the writ. This marks a pivotal moment in Bermuda’s democratic process, and the FDM is fully prepared to engage with the electorate on the issues that matter most to our people.

“When the announcement was made, the dejected mood among MPs and the public’s tone of disappointment were clear. This sentiment reflects a growing disillusionment with the current administration and its inability to inspire confidence. The FDM stands as a credible alternative, ready to deliver fresh ideas and decisive, trustworthy leadership that Bermuda needs.

“We look forward to a spirited campaign as we continue to put forth our vision for Bermuda. The FDM is confident in the strength of our ideas, the dedication of our team, and the increasing support of the people as we work towards contesting this election and forming the next government.

“Our focus remains on addressing the critical challenges facing Bermuda, including reducing the cost of living and creating a Bermuda where families can thrive and build a secure foundation for generations to come.

“We urge all Bermudians to make their voices heard by registering to vote and becoming the masters of your destiny,” Mr Bean added.

The General Election has been scheduled for February 18, 2025.

    Agreed

“Our focus remains on addressing the critical challenges facing Bermuda, including reducing the cost of living”

How do you propose to do that and still service our BILLIONS of dollars of debt?

“creating a Bermuda where families can thrive and build a secure foundation for generations to come”

As opposed to a Bermuda that forces Bermudians who cannot service the Government’s extortionate demands to leave and settle elsewhere?
