Dance Academy To Host Valentine’s Fair
The Bermuda Dance Academy International Performance Team will host a Mini Valentine’s Fair on February 8th, with games, raffles, and a special performance to support their Orlando competition.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Dance Academy International Performance Team is excited to announce its upcoming Mini Valentine’s Fair, scheduled for Saturday, February 8th, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This fun-filled event will take place at the Bermuda Dance Academy and aims to raise crucial funds to support our talented dancers and dedicated teachers as they prepare for the Revive Dance Convention and Competition in Orlando, Florida, taking place from February 12th to 19th, 2025.
“Join us for a day of festivities that include a bake sale, raffles, games, and a craft table. The highlight of the fair will be a studio showing at 3:30 PM, where our dancers will proudly showcase the routines they will be competing with, giving attendees a special sneak peek at their hard work and talent.
“Our dancers have been diligently preparing for this competition since July 2024, learning nine incredible dances, including two solos, one trio, and six group dances. They have been guided by talented choreographers: Nikia Manders, Makaylie Smith, as well as guest choreographers Andrea Markus from New York City and local professional dancer Mikayla Wilson.
“The following dancers will be representing Bermuda at the competition: Sanziniah Raynor, Savannah Denkins, Tjaia Butler, Yannick Rochester, Aanya Mills, Tessanne Williams, Nia Cross, Riley Evans, Essence Lewis, and Aviya Mills. They will be accompanied by our esteemed teachers Imani Edwards, Makaylie Smith, and owner and head teacher, Nikia Manders.
“Your support is vital to our success and means the world to our dancers and teachers. We invite everyone in the community to come out, have some fun, and cheer for our talented team as they embark on this exciting journey to Orlando.
