Nonprofit Alliance Congratulates PLP On Win
The Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda is congratulating the Progressive Labour Party [PLP] following their re-election in yesterday’s [Feb 18] General Election.
A spokesperson said, “The Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda extends its congratulations to the Progressive Labour Party on their re-election to Government. We look forward to continued collaboration with the Government to strengthen Bermuda’s nonprofit sector and advance solutions that support a more equitable and thriving community.
“We also commend all candidates who participated in this election for their dedication to public service and commitment to addressing Bermuda’s most pressing challenges. A strong democracy is built on open dialogue, diverse perspectives, and active civic engagement. We applaud those who put themselves forward to serve, including the large number of first-time independent candidates. What an exciting time for Bermuda’s politics.
“Additionally, we express our gratitude to all who attended our Pre-Election Forum on Social Policy Positions, where candidates and nonprofit professionals engaged in meaningful discussions on issues that impact Bermuda’s most vulnerable populations. We appreciated hearing candidates’ perspectives on how to address complex issues in our community such as the cost of living, health and mental health, as well as education and inequality.
“These discussions underscored the importance of robust data and collaboration to address the needs of our community effectively.”
