Smith, Clayton State Finish 5th At Championships
Sancho Smith and his Clayton State University men’s track & field teammates secured a fifth-place finish at the Peach Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. The team accumulated a total of 33 points in a competitive field, with Embry-Riddle claiming victory in both the men’s and women’s championships.
Smith competed in the men’s 800m run, finishing 11th with a time of 1:57.45. He also played a crucial role in Clayton State’s strong performance in the Distance Medley Relay [DMR]. The team, comprising Nehemiah Horton, Smith, Camron Gaddis, and Mykell Strickland, secured a podium finish, taking third place with a time of 10:33.88.
