Traffic Advisory: Ongoing Road Paving In Sandys
The Ministry of Public Works reminds the motoring public that “ongoing road paving work is taking place at Scaur Hill in Sandys, progressing towards Somerset Bridge.”
A Government spokesperson said, “As work advances, motorists travelling to and from the west end are experiencing significant delays.
“Delays are expected to continue in the area for the next two weeks. Traffic congestion has been worsened by the lack of alternative routes, given the location of the work. However, adjustments will be made to improve the flow of traffic as much as possible.
“Frustration is understood, and patience is appreciated as efforts continue to improve road infrastructure. Paving crews are working daily, with operations often extending into the evening to ensure timely completion.
“Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, plan accordingly, and exercise caution when driving through the work zone. Updates will continue to be provided as the project progresses.
“Understanding from the community is appreciated as efforts continue to enhance Bermuda’s road network.”
