  1. Do your hmwk WOW! says:

Correct me if I am wrong but advanced voting is only for seniors and people who are traveling on the day. People who are working have the right to leave their place of employment to vote and then return to work. Also the political term in Bermuda is 5 years not 4. Hard to vote for a candidate that is not aware of that!

Safe to say he was referring to those folks working at the Polling Places on Feb 18th who are entitled to vote in advance, i.e. Returning Officers, Presiding Officers, PR staff, etc.

    • SSDD says:

The full list if you were to do your homework is:
      Travellers
      Incapacitated Voters
      Seniors
      Election Workers
      Bermuda Police Services

  2. Correct says:

I reckon 90 percent of new candidates do not know where parliament is.

    Who is the speaker?
    What day is your caucus?
    What is a Bill?
As an independent do you have the resources to write one?
What is your specialty that you are likely going to speak on budget day debates?
Have you thought about your focus on budget day?
How much was the budget last year?
Will you speak the first day of parliament?
OK. I’ll stop because they might change their mind.

  3. Triangle Drifter says:

Apparently you don’t know much either. No debate takes place on Budget Day. The Premier presents the Budget then they all knock off for the day.

When the so-called debate happens on the budget nobody gets much of a chance to speak except the Ministers of the various Ministries who waste 90% of the allocated tie going blah, blah, blah giving a carefully timed speech giving next to no time for anyone to question them.

A shameful immature practice perfected by the PLP which does not like to be questioned.
