Bobb Breaks Record Twice & Wins Silver Medal

Sprinter Caitlyn Bobb produced a sensational performance on the final day of the ACC indoor championships, breaking the Bermuda national record twice in the women’s 400m to claim a silver medal.

Representing Virginia Tech at the Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky, Bobb started her day by winning her Heat in the 400m preliminaries. Her time of 53.16, a new Bermuda national record and personal best, secured her a place in the final with the third-fastest qualifying time.

In the final, Bobb delivered another outstanding performance, breaking her own national record with a time of 52.69 to secure the silver medal.

Bobb’s success contributed to a strong overall performance from Virginia Tech, who saw eight athletes qualify for finals on the final day of the championships.
