Daley Ends Coupe Du Québec With Gold Medal
Elijah Daley concluded his successful campaign at the Coupe du Québec senior swimming championships, held at the PEPS of Laval University, in spectacular fashion. Daley saved his best for last, claiming a gold medal on the final day of competition to bring his total medal haul for the event to an impressive five.
Daley’s final day success came in the men’s 50m breaststroke. In the preliminaries, he demonstrated his speed and power, clocking a time of 30.29 seconds to finish 3rd and advance to the A final and he then delivered a stunning performance in the men’s 50m breaststroke A final. He went even faster than his preliminary swim, touching the wall in a winning time of 29.84 seconds to claim the gold medal.
