Brijette Basden Competes In Phoenix Meet
Brijette Basden competed for Shaw University’s track and field team at the recent Phoenix Invitational, hosted by Elon University in North Carolina.
Basden featured in the individual sprint events, finishing 22nd in the 100 metres in a time of 13.10sec.
She also participated in the women’s 200, placing 24th in 27.42.
However, the highlight of the day for Basden and Shaw University came in the women’s 4×400 metres relay.
Basden took on the crucial lead-off leg, setting the tone for her team.
Shaw came third to claim a podium finish in 4:14.70.
