Ministry Issues Three Road Traffic Notices
The Ministry of Public Works has issued three road traffic notices for the Causeway Bailey Bridge in St. George, Marsh Folly Road and St. John’s Road in Pembroke.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of upcoming road traffic disruptions due to scheduled maintenance and utility works.
Causeway Bailey Bridge: Lane Closure for Bridge Deck Repair Work
“The Causeway Bailey Bridge in St. George will undergo bridge deck repair work, requiring a lane closure from Saturday, 22 March 2025, through Sunday, 23 March 2025. Working hours will be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Marsh Folly Road & St. John’s Road in Pembroke: Lane Closure for BELCO Trench Work
“A lane closure will occur at Marsh Folly Road and St. John’s Road junction in Pembroke for BELCO trench works from Saturday, 22 March 2025, through Sunday, 23 March 2025.
“The trench will run from Marsh Folly Road at the Tennis Court side across the junction to the St. John’s Road pole. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes via Dutton Avenue or Langton Hill or cautiously pass through the junction.
St. John’s Road in Pembroke: Road Closure for BELCO Outage
“St. John’s Road in Pembroke will be closed on Thursday, 27 March 2025 [with a possible rain day on Friday, 28 March 2025] for a BELCO electricity outage.
“Working hours will be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via Dutton Avenue, Cedar Avenue, or Langton Hill.
“The Ministry thanks the public for its cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
