Ben Smith Praises Jack Harvey On Award
Ben Smith, the Bermuda national swimming coach, has congratulated Jack Harvey on winning the Male Athlete of Year award at the 43rd Annual Sports Awards held at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club last weekend.
Harvey represented Bermuda at the Olympic Games in Paris last summer, winning his heat in the men’s 100 metres backstroke.

Bermuda’s swimming talent was well represented at the ceremony, with Elijah Daley and Katherine Wheddon earning the Junior Male and Female Athlete of the Year titles, respectively, in addition to receiving Junior Achievement Awards.
Meanwhile, Emma Harvey and her brother Jack Harvey were both honoured with Senior Achievement Awards.
Emma also competed at the Paris Olympics.
Smith took to social media to commend the athletes, writing: “Congratulations to Jack Harvey, Male Athlete of the Year, Katherine Wheddon, Junior Female Athlete of the Year and Elijah Daley, Junior Male Athlete of the Year,” Smith wrote on social media.
“All also winning sports achievement awards along with Emma Harvey. Well done Bermuda Swimming.”
