Wade Elected To CFU Executive Committee

Bermuda Football Association [BFA] president Mark Wade has been elected onto the Caribbean Football Union [CFU] executive committee.

Wade’s election occurred during his attendance at the Concacaf 40th Ordinary Congress, held at the Royalton Hotel in Cap Estate, Saint Lucia. The event, a key gathering for football stakeholders in the region, brought together presidents and delegates from all 41 Concacaf Member Associations.

The congress provided a platform for discussions and decisions impacting the future of football within the Concacaf region.

Concacaf president and FIFA vice president Victor Montagliani presided over the congress, alongside Concacaf general secretary Philippe Moggio and members of the Concacaf council. The event underscored the importance of collaboration and development within the confederation.

The congress attracted a high-profile audience, including FIFA president Gianni Infantino, who addressed the delegates. CONMEBOL president and FIFA vice president Alejandro Dominguez, the Right Honourable Philip J. Pierre, prime minister of St. Lucia, and the Honourable Kenson Casimir, Minister of Sports of St. Lucia, were also present, highlighting the significance of the event.
