Ariel Re Appoints Rohan Pai As CFO
Ariel Re has appointed Rohan Pai as Chief Financial Officer, with the company noting that he “will be based in Bermuda and will oversee Ariel Re’s financial reporting and treasury functions, supporting the company’s continued development and commitment to being the Premier Manager of Reinsurance Risk.”.
A spokesperson said, “Ariel Re, a global reinsurance business with offices in Bermuda, London and Hong Kong, has announced the appointment of Rohan Pai as Chief Financial Officer [CFO], effective April 1, 2025.
“Prior to joining Ariel Re, Pai was employed by Velocity Risk Underwriters, where as Chief Financial Officer, he played a key role in driving the company’s financial strategies.
“In his new role, Pai will be based in Bermuda and will oversee Ariel Re’s financial reporting and treasury functions, supporting the company’s continued development and commitment to being the Premier Manager of Reinsurance Risk.”

The spokesperson said, “Pai brings extensive experience in financial leadership within the insurance and reinsurance industries in Bermuda and the United States. Prior to working at Velocity Risk Underwriters, he was the Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations at Selective Insurance, and Director of Corporate Finance at RenaissanceRe. Pai began his career as an equity research analyst with Deutsche Bank and Bank of America.”
