BASA Summer Long Course Meet Results
The National Sports Centre was the venue for the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association’s [BASA] Summer Long Course Meet, where several Bermudian swimmers delivered notable performances.
Madelyn Moore achieved top finishes in two women’s events. She won the women’s 15 & over 100 LC meter freestyle with a time of 59.31 seconds, followed by Jorgia White in second place [1:07.13] and Elanna Fulton in third [1:07.74]. Moore also secured first place in the women’s 15 & over 100 LC meter butterfly, clocking 1:06.50. Fulton finished second [1:19.38], and Cristina Abend placed third [1:25.25].
Logan Jones was a leading competitor in the men’s events. He won the men’s 15 & over 100 LC meter freestyle in 55.81 seconds, with Noah Maranzana finishing second [56.45] and Nayland Harris third [1:00.97]. Jones also took first place in the men’s 15 & over 200 LC meter freestyle with a time of 2:11.28. Joseph Moniz finished second [2:19.54], and Jacob Wright placed third [2:23.43].
Jorgia White also claimed a victory, winning the women’s 15 & over 200 LC meter freestyle in 2:28.26. Emilia Dunkerley finished second [2:42.35], and Kelise Wade took third place [3:17.47].
In the men’s 15 & over 50 LC meter butterfly, Jacob Wright finished first with a time of 31.89 seconds. Zachary Johnson placed second [33.50], and Gianluca Bortoli finished third [34.90].
