Basketball Team Competes In Guyana Event
Bermuda is among the nations represented at the One Guyana 3×3 Quest Basketball Tournament which is taking place at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Guyana.
Teams from Ecuador, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, the USA, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and Suriname are all competing.
John Lee, Yusef Riley, Darea Smith, and Johnathan Lowe are representing Bermuda who has been placed in Pool B for the tournament.
Bermuda opened their campaign against the Renegades from Guyana, but faced a tough challenge, losing 20-10. In their second game, Bermuda lost 17-9 to the Elite Blazers from St. Lucia.
Bermuda’s final game on day one saw them narrowly defeated 18-16 by the Quarters United from Trinidad & Tobago.
