Dame Flora Duffy On Injury In T100
Dame Flora Duffy has revealed she picked up a glute and hip issue during the opening race of the T100 World Triathlon Tour Series in Singapore on Saturday [April 5].
Duffy, along with Finland’s Minttu Hukka and British pair India Lee and Lucy Byram, were unable to complete the 100-kilometres course [2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run].
“A very tough day for me in Singapore,” Duffy wrote on social media.
“Unfortunately, I had to pull out on the bike after having some severe glute/hip issues.
“Never fun to pull out of a race. A few things to figure out to get my body ready to race again.
“Congrats to everyone who finished- brutal conditions out there!”
Britain’s Kate Waugh claimed victory in 3hr 45min 18sec, with Austrian Lisa Perterer second [3:51:58] and Briton Lucy Charles-Barclay third [3:53:09].

Sorry to hear this Dame hope you find the strength to overcome your challenges.
Look forward to your healing and winning ways. Keep up the great work
