Dame Flora Duffy starts her T100 World Triathlon Tour Series campaign with the opening race of the series in Singapore this weekend.

The 100-kilometres course [2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run] features two iconic Singapore landmarks – the renowned Singapore Flyer and the legendary F1 track.

“Hotel room bike sessions can only mean one thing… it’s race week!” Duffy wrote on social media.

“The T100 kicks off this weekend in Singapore. Promises to be a hot, humid and tough race! Should be fun.”

Duffy achieved her goal of earning a guaranteed contract after finishing fourth in the T100 Final in Dubai in November last year.

The seven-race series features events in San Francisco [May 31 to June 1], London [August 9 to 10], Ibiza, Spain [TBA], Lake Las Vegas [TBA], Dubai [November 15 to 16] and Qatar [December 11 to 13].

Among the women’s triathletes with automatic contracts are defending champion Taylor Knibb, of the United States, Ashleigh Gentle, of Australia, and Paula Findlay, of Canada.

Duffy finished fifth in the overall standings last season with 90 points.

The T100 showcases the world’s best triathletes with 20 men and 20 women competing in every event, all racing for the chance to be crowned champion and earn a slice of the $9 million on offer.
