Premier & Ministers Host Annual Seniors Tea
On Saturday [April 26], Premier David Burt, Minister Jason Hayward, and Minister Jache Adams hosted the Annual Seniors Tea for Constituencies 17, 18, and 19.
A PLP spokesperson said, “This event, held on the Saturday after Easter each year, brought together Bermuda’s seniors for a day of celebrating and fostering connections within the community.
“With around 85 seniors in attendance, the event featured a variety of performances, including a dance performance by One Body in Christ, a magic show by Marshall Magic, Violinist, Tiffany Fox, and a participatory dance session led by Energised Wellness, along with DJ Shaquille Pitcher and other local entertainers.
“Activities included Bingo, a Fancy Hat competition, door and raffle prizes, and a special prize for the oldest senior.”
“The Annual Seniors Tea is an opportunity to provide a space where seniors can connect, relax, and enjoy themselves,” said Premier Burt. “It’s a chance to show our appreciation for their ongoing role in our community.”
Minister Adams added, “Every year, our seniors look forward to this event, and it is great to give back to our seniors with this annual event. I thank all of the volunteers who helped to make this a success.”
Minister Hayward stated, “I’ve received great feedback from our seniors who had an incredible time at this year’s tea. Our branches are looking forward to next year’s event to make it even more rewarding for our cherished seniors.”
