North Village Win U18 Knock-Out Cup Title
The North Village Rams defeated the Somerset Trojans 2-0 in the final of the Under 18 Knock-Out Cup at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Center this weekend.
The North Village Rams started the match assertively, taking a 1-0 lead early in the contest when Amir Brangman scored with a 40-yard strike. The Rams extended their advantage in the 30th minute, with Gladwin Benjamin adding a second goal to give North Village a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Both teams created chances in the second half, but neither side was able to score. The North Village Rams maintained their two-goal lead through solid defense, securing the U18 Knock-Out Cup title.
Saezjhor Dent of the North Village Rams was named the Most Valuable Player [MVP] of the match. Michari Tear Deleon was recognized as the MVP for the Somerset Trojans.
