Softball: Hakuna, Paraquet & Moongate Win
The Michael Preece Softball Diamond played host to a high-scoring triple header as the Bermuda softball league season continued, with a total of 91 runs scored across the three games.
Hakuna Matata Lions 19 Beach Bums 7
The opening game of the night saw Hakuna Matata Lions deliver a dominant offensive performance, defeating the Beach Bums 19-7. Stephen Smith was a key offensive contributor for the Lions, going 1-for-2 with a home run and four runs batted in [RBI]. Despite the loss for the Beach Bums, Corey Sinas went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.
Paraquet Flyers 15 Plantano Power 9
The second game of the evening resulted in a 15-9 victory for the Paraquet Flyers over the Plantano Power. Andrew Simpson led the offensive charge for the Flyers, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including two home runs and five RBIs. Antonio Adon contributed two RBIs for the Plantano Power, going 2-for-3.
Moongate Brewers 25 Kings 16
The final game of the night was a high-scoring affair, with the Moongate Brewers outscoring the Kings 25-16. Mike Skat provided significant offensive power for the Brewers, going 2-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBIs. Despite the Kings’ loss, Richard Campbell had a strong offensive showing, going 4-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs.
