Athene Life Re is once again sponsoring the Convex End-to-End Fun Walk & Cycle tomorrow [May 3].

The three-mile event begins at 2pm, starting at Beacon Hill in Somerset and ending at Dockyard.

The Fun Walk & Cycle offers an opportunity for families, students, seniors, and those who prefer a shorter route to participate in the End-to-End.

Athene is also covering registration fees for Special Olympics Bermuda athletes, who regularly take part in the event and will walk the Somerset-to-Dockyard route.

The fun walk serves as a valuable training opportunity for the athletes in preparation for their overseas competitions.

“We are delighted to sponsor the Convex End-to-End Fun Walk for the eighth consecutive year and to continue our support for the Bermuda Special Olympics team for the third year by sponsoring their registration for the End-to-End,” said Natasha Scotland Courcy, chief executive and general counsel at Athene Life Re.

“We are honoured to contribute to such a meaningful event and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community.”

A shuttle service will be available after the event to return participants to Beacon Hill.

Registration is $50 for adults and $25 for children, and can be completed at bermudaendtoend.bm.

This year’s event supports five local charities: Age Concern [ACB Hardship Programme], Bermuda Audubon Society [Conservation Management Plan for High Point], Bermuda Red Cross [Equipment Rental Revitalisation Programme], the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Bermuda and The Reading Clinic [Core Reading Programme].
