Softball: Home None, PHC & Western Stars Win
A high-scoring night of softball unfolded at the Michael Preece Diamond, with three games yielding a combined 66 runs, as Home None, PHC Zebras, and Western Stars Angels all secured victories.
In the evening’s opening match, Home None decisively defeated the Rainbows by a score of 24-6. Dario Flood led Home None’s offense with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, including a double, a triple, and two home runs, driving in six runs. Rebecca Schoeler and Jade Weaver each added two hits in two at-bats and one RBI apiece for Home None.
The second game proved to be a closer affair, with the PHC Zebras edging out the Southampton Rangers 17-14. Josh Bang was the offensive leader for the Zebras, going 3-for-4 with a triple and a home run, also accounting for six RBIs. Shrye Tavares matched Bang’s three hits for the Southampton Rangers, going 3-for-4 with a double and five RBIs, but it was not enough to secure the win.
The final game of the night saw the Western Stars Angels dominate the Power Pitches with a 25-0 shutout. Rickelle Smith had a standout performance for the Angels, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including two home runs and an impressive ten RBIs.
