Marico Thomas Reappointed Chamber President
Marico Thomas has reappointed as the President of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Marico Thomas has been nominated and has agreed to serve an additional term as Chamber President.
“Mr. Thomas’s leadership has been defined by his commitment to inclusive advocacy, strategic reform, and the amplification of Bermuda’s economic voice. Over the past year, he led initiatives to strengthen engagement across the Chamber’s Divisions and introduced a renewed focus on data transparency and public insight.”
“Last year, we began providing meaningful data and information to better explain Bermuda’s economic performance and its potential,” said Mr. Thomas.
“This year, I hope to build on that work by expanding knowledge to all, participating in executable solutions, and clarifying progress that leads to long-term success. These are ambitious goals—and they will require time, effort, and fortitude—but they are achievable with collective commitment.”
A spokesperson added, “Mr. Thomas’s reappointment reflects strong support from Chamber members and partners who recognize the importance of continuity and momentum in achieving the Chamber’s mission.
“Under his leadership, the Chamber has championed significant outcomes in areas such as tourism, retail, real estate, non-profit reform, and regulatory engagement. Plans for 2025 include deeper advocacy on business policy, expanded access to strategic knowledge, and enhanced alignment with national economic goals.
