Play was then suspended for over two hours due to weather. At the time of the delay, Delaware led the No. 2 doubles match 6-5, while the No. 1 doubles match was tied 5-5.

Upon resumption, Delaware’s Karol Malirz and Mason Robins defeated Mallory and Aleex de Gabriele in a 7-6 tie-break in the No. 2 doubles match.

Despite losing the doubles point, UNCW secured four straight singles victories. Mallory, competing in the No. 4 singles match against Delaware’s Tapiro Itamar, won the first set 7-5 and was leading the second set 4-2 when the overall match concluded. UNCW’s four singles wins secured their advancement to the CAA Tournament Final with a 4-1 victory.
