Powerboat Racing: Team Bermuda 6th In Florida
Two boats represented Bermuda in the Thunder On Cocoa Beach Powerboat Race on Florida’s Space Coast at the weekend.
Competing in the Super Stock Class in a field of 12 teams were S-25 GL Construction/S-25 Team Bermuda, with the experienced pair of David Selley and Steven Bridges at the helm, and S-12 Nuff Said/Team Bermuda, crewed by Luis Martins and Andy Stoneham.
Unfortunately for Martins and Stoneham their race ended prematurely after their boat overturned during the second half of the race. The pair were unharmed.
Following the incident, the race was concluded, and the final standings were determined based on the positions at the time of the stoppage.
Selley and Bridges in S-25 GL Construction/S-25 Team Bermuda finished in sixth place.
