Golf Team Wins Kitty Michael Invitational
The Bermuda team has won the 45th annual Kitty Michael Golf Invitational, concluding the three-day competition at the El Conquistador Golf Club.
Bermuda finished with a combined three-day score of 101-over par. St. Croix and Puerto Rico tied for second place at 131-over par, 30 strokes behind Bermuda. The final day of competition was characterized by hot and challenging conditions.
The victorious Bermuda team included captain Linda Down, vice captain Tracy Burgess, Katrin Burnie, Liz Carpio, Carine Brule, Valerie Nearon, Angela Cook, Katyna Rabain, Lesley Wollmann, and Tracy Nash. The tournament was a 54-hole event.
Bermuda’s vice captain Tracy Burgess was the individual winner of the tournament. She completed the three rounds with a total of 29-over par, including an 11-over par final round.
Carine Brule secured third place individually, finishing at 36-over par. Katrin Burnie placed eighth overall with a score of 43-over par.
